The Cub can be used for braille production, tactile graphics, braille maths with graphics, oversized documents, braille adhesive labels, braille business cards etc. The printer for the creation and embossing of braille directly from mainstream Windows software like MS Office, as well as from traditional braille-making software like Duxbury and Megadots. The Cub can emboss braille and 3D graphics, with 7 dot heights plus zero for maps etc, on regular paper and can emboss at 4 times the density of "high-resolution" embosser graphics with 20 dots per inch resolution.
Braille speeds are up to 50 characters per second (around 3 pages of braille per minute) and the Interpoint & Intergraphix 2 pass process allows a mix graphics and interpoint text. There is automatic conversion of coloured and shaded images to 3-D tactile graphics. Adjust settings from the computer and embossing is so quiet that no hood is required.
The latest version has the new Tiger braille dot for improved readability and a USB connection
