Join us in celebrating National Braille Week and World Sight Day

This week we celebrate both National Braille Week from 10th – 17th and World Sight Day on Thursday 13th.

Throughout the week we will bring you lots of content on Braille from both users and those who promote its use and some advice on how to protect your sight ahead of World Sight Day.

Braille continues to grow with technology, which is fantastic to see and we are proud to be among those who promote this invaluable medium for people who are blind or vision impaired.
Rather than replace Braille, digital technologies have embraced it and made it even more relevant, giving Braille users huge choice and options.
On Thursday we will encourage you to wear BRIGHT for SIGHT. Please do join us and tag us in your photos and remember to book an eye exam – that’s one of the most important steps you can take to look after your sight. More tips coming later in the week!
Today, we kicked off Braille Week with a podcast featuring Roger Firman, Chairperson of the UK Association for Accessible Formats (UKAAF). Roger talks to Stuart Lawler about his love for Braille music and the developments he has seen in this area over the years, as well as the association’s work in promoting Braille and in making accessibility mainstream.

You can listen now, anywhere you get podcasts.
Check in with our social media during the week for blogs, videos and testimonials!
